Colors of Life - My Ombré Waffles

Doesn't food taste much better if we can make it a bit more colorful?

Colors can add so much excitement to our dishes. Lets break out of our old breakfast routines! White, boring waffles were yesterday, today we make rainbow and ombré waffles. :)

Many people might think now that it takes too much time to make something more elaborate, but that is not the case. You just mix a bit of colorful fruits or veggies in your dough and voilá you will impress all your friends!

There is literally no limit to what you can do with your waffle creations. And it is much more fun to cook with a little more creativity.

Color can speak to the soul in a million different ways - so use it! <3

The Recipe

Here is the basic recipe:

50g  Lupine Flour

100g Wholewheat Flour

50g Xylit or any other sweetener you like

400ml Almond milk

20g Protein Powder

1 tsp Baking Powder

Super easy right?

Now that you have the basic recipe you can go crazy with the colors.

If you want yellow just leave the dough without any added color. Beetroot is fantastic to color your waffles pink. I use spinach/chlorella or spirulina to color

them green. For more rainbow magic I use the colorful superfood powders from

Unicornsuperfoods. With those colors you can really get that Ombré looking

waffle tower.

To actually make them I use a regular waffle maker.

Pro Tip: Be careful not to make them

too big. It will look prettier if you have smaller waffles :)

Enjoy your waffles!
